Seems like you were married previously but not divorce legally and you are asking if you can marry someone who was never married before. Is that right? If that is the case, you have to get divorced before you get married with a person getting married for the first time.

I read this question as you are getting married for the first time but maybe your partner needs a divorce, therefore it not being their first time being married?
Very important. Legally important in fact.
No-one can get married for a second time if a divorce hasn't been signed and sealed.

Im assuming you probably mean married for the first time before/after a divorce? I'm not sure if theres any laws against it, but you should talk to your partner about it. And then speak to a divorce attorney to see if it's required by law to be divorced before getting re-married...because polygamy might fall in there somewhere.

What is going on here you must have been married before if you are getting a divorce. You should not get married at all its going to take much more than the simple brain you have got to in anyway at all to have a successful marriage.

Do you mean if you then go on to split up? Divorce is a personal thing. Some people want to sever all ties completely once and for all or want to remarry whereas other couples just remain married.
If you're already thinking of divorce though maybe best just not to get married.

I think that you should replace the word "before" with the word "after". This is the only reasonable repairment of your question. However, the question of importancy is unclear, since you don't mentioned the reasons for divorce. Maybe you are an outerspace alien who studies the concept of marriage on Earth? Then the answer is simple: After marying, the divorce is not required. However it happens quite often for many reasons.

If you are getting divorced, you must have already been married, so you aren't getting married for the first time

Uh....I am trying to wrap my head around this question. Divorced from what? If you have not been married before, how can you get divorced?
