If anyone could make or repair their own wands, then no one would buy them. It requires special skills.

magic wands are a special type of tool. they have to specially prepared my a master wand maker and can take up to 5 years to be ready for use. the phoenix feathers don't just grow on trees, and the sapient pearwood is so difficult to locate and work into the required shape (1 false spell can ruin the whole process)
so a simple spell as "reparo" just wouldn't work the magic of the wand would far surpass the spell itself that the spell would just be absorbed into the wand and not have the desired effect

If Ron's wand wasn't broken, then the professor wont shock himself with the spell casted by Ron's wand and Harry might be dead... then the story might just end at the 2nd episode. So, be thankful that they didnt repair the wand

Remember Ron, Harry and Hermine are just kids. The effectiveness of a spell is determined by the competence, experience and power of the witch or wizard casting it. Recall how long it took Harry to learn to cast a really effective Patronus spell.
Repair spell are simple enough to cast on everyday, simple inanimate objects, like Harry's spectacles, but not on complex artifacts. A wand is a very complex magical conduit, requiring expert attention. At it's core is a magical substance, like Unicorn hair or Dragon tendon, that can not be reconstituted by simple hedgewitchery!
Ten points from Gryffindor for asking such a question!

It was part of the plot NOT to be repaired. Remember at the end where Gilderoy Lockhart uses Ron's wand to cast the memory erasing spell on Ron and Harry after he admits to them that he's basically a con man?

I think "reparo" works only on non-magical objects, e.g. Harry's glasses, the broken glass pane in the coach door when the Dementors come onto the Hogwarts Express in #3.

a million. that are your 2 generic books? Goblet of fireplace & Deathly Hallows (even although i did not choose it to end.) 2. Who replaced into the saddest loss of life/s and why? Freds, through fact not George isn't finished anymore. And if i'm going to upload, Lupin & Tonks, through fact their son will by no skill understand them. =( 3. Who replaced into the main unpredicted loss of life/s and why? Freds, i presumed if any Weasley replaced into going to stuff it, it could have been Percy. 4. so as who're your suited 5 generic charcters from all the books? a million. Snape 2. Dumbledore 3. Weasley Twins (I count huge form them as one) =) 4. Remus Lupin 5. Voldermort lol HE MAKES the tale =) 5. who's your least generic character? Umbridge, won't be able to stand that lady! Why did not she die!? 6. what's your generic 'adventure' from all the books? it somewhat is gloomy yet, I loved the scene the place every person theory Harry replaced into lifeless and shouted 'no',and so on and stood as much as Voldermort. yet there are this form of super form of scenes i ought to choose! 7. What makes the books so appealing and prevalent? I strongly have self assurance it somewhat is through fact its a delusion set extremely. so we are able to relate extra to it =)

no once it's broken the magic is broken, remember each wand chooses it's owner. so no one else can repair it once it's essence is destroyed, it's explained in much more detail in the first book.
