I believe the answer is, yes. This is a country where the President has already announced he wants to "eradicate" Israel. This is the same country that kidnapped several Americans during the Carter administration and we did nothing about it. We cannot allow a madman to have nuclear weapons. What say you?

I cannot believe that there are people here who respect the President of Iran, and Saddam Hussein more than the President of the USA.

It's a shame that most people anwering this question are too blind to realize that the current Iranian president was directly involved in the kidnapping of American citizens in 1979 and that he wants to kill us!!!

If you were remotely aware of the history in the Middle East you would know that the current political situation in Iran is a reaction to our misguided policies in the past. We overthrew Mossadeq, a duly and democratically elected prime minister and we installed the Shah to do our dirty work becaused we feared he was...communist, a far fetched idea, but it fit the paranoia of the time. Now the chickens have come home to roost and we will continue to "reap" the excesses of this administration for generations to come. And all an invasion of Iran will accomplis is to exaggerate the hatred of Muslims around the globe.

Ahmadinejad never said he wanted to wipe Israel off the map. That was an intentional misquote
IRAN DOES NOT HAVE NUCLEAR WEAPONS
And according to the CIA, IRAN DOES NOT HAVE A NUCLEAR WEAPONS PROGRAM
The ONLY country in the entire Middel East that has nucear weapons is ISRAEL
So, to answer your question, NO!!!!

I think that if America attacked Iran, they could expect a surprise attack from North Korea. I truly believe that is why Iran is courting South American countries. It creates a nice triangle effect of Nations that do not like or trust America, and it may keep America out of their affairs. Good, bad or indifferent.

Sounds a lot like Israel that has had nuclear weapons for 40 years.
And didn't tell anyone about it until they got caught out.
I'm more worried that they'll start WW3.
Try some tolerance instead of war mongering.

Sure if you want to start W. W. l l l, and perhaps the end of the world. Never forget that China and Russia are trading partners with Iran. This isn't France and Germany we are messing with if we go into Iran.

NO. A popular definition of insanity is to keep doing the same thing and expect different results. Have our mistakes in Iraq taught us nothing?

... and what exactly would iran do with nuclear weapons ... a 2nd grader could figure out that if iran used nuclear weapons as anything but a deterrant then it would be quickly turned into a sea of glass ... if anyone in the world is agressive and in need of being "taken out" its the united states ...
