Do you ever leave the door open or the window open? Do you have gaps under your door or other holes which a spider could creep in? Is your house an old house in which spiders may have been living for generations? I think you need to consider these things.

Crevices. (sp?) Cracks under the door, holes anywhere in the walls/ceilings..and if one comes in theres a chance of laying eggs and a whole lot hatching right in your home.....Not to creep you out, just an FYI. I haaaaaate spiders with a passion. Any chance I get I spray bug repellent in all the corners of my room..anywhere a web can easily be formed..which is virutally anywhere, but. Yeah.

Under doors & in the gaps around the windows
I could never live where there are funnel webs in NSW they are so scary & they are sneaky biters because they creep under things looking for a mate & you go to pick up a towell or some clothing off the floor & snap they get ya!!
I'd rather battle our red backs in QLD because they mainly stay in their webs lol

They come in in little ice balls these days. Looking for a warm room and a meal. I can help with a warm room, however they will have to fend for themselves for the meal. In fact they can eat each other, if they like, the would if they were somewhere else, anyway.

The same way everything and everyone else comes in through your door. Then they head straight to the water holes.
