Can someone please tell me how to grow bean sprouts and alf alfa at home?

You get a shallow plastic container, saucer or plate doesn't matter. Buy some blotting paper (this was used to soak up escess ink when writing with ink when I was younger). Put blotting paper in container and then cover with enough water just to slightly submerge blotting, very very little, place seeds on top of blotting paper, watch them sprout after few days, keep topping up with enough water just to cover blotting paper, this really works, just dont flood the container with water, just enough to keep seeds moist will do. Get some beans. Get some moist paper towel and put it in some sort of plate. Sprinke the beans on top of the paper towel. Cover with some sort of clear container. Eventually the beans will sprout. THis method, they don't grow too big. YOu need a better potting soil to get big bean sprouts. It would be helpful that there is a bit of iodine in the water. Like a couple of drops per gallon. The paper would mold fast.

Get a clean glass jar. Fill the jar about one quarter with the beans that you want to grow and add enough water to cover the beans. Every couple of days. when the sprouts begin to grown, gentley shake the jar. When sprouts are ready to harvest just tip them out.

I would love to answer this question. I work for a national seed company and have never seen any type of seed specifically for bean sprouts.

If someone can add a detail to their response and tell me what bean seeds you use specifically for sprouts. I love them also.

Just as nette said...but remember to drian them with water every day to prevent bacterial growth. You can put a piece of clean cheese cloth or mosquito net over the jar top with an elastic for easy rinsing.

completely authentic, i found out as quickly as I left homestead for extra then purely a month or 2.. there is extremely no such place that could make you sense like homestead different than your fatherland or united states.
