I think he's lovely too. The thing I really admire about him is his passion for acting and the arts. He's a very good actor and very good looking too. The prostitute thing? He was the unlucky one who got caught that's all and after all the prostitute made a pretty penny out of the situation so she wasn t exploited or anything.

I have never seen the appeal of Hugh Grant. He's a one trick pony. He continually plays the same role in every film, the bumbling upper class elderly public school boy.
In fact Grant is non of that. His father was a labourer, he comes from a working class background, nothing wrong with that, but to hear him talk you'd think he was a Duke or a Lord. He puts on those airs and graces and an affected fake aristocratic accent, just like his ex Liz Hurley does, who is also a working class girl with a snobbye desire to be something she is not. Like Grant she loves to hang out with titled people and seem to think she is one of them, she's not!.Grant is also a Diva. He flies into film festivals with an entourage and a list of demands, he refuses to meet the fans or mingle with press. He's an incredibly spoilt arrogant big girl's blouse. What on earth does Jemima see in him?.

after being forced to watch "love actually" by the missus i can honestly say i hate hugh grant as an actor. he can't act he has appalling timing and as for the prostitute thing well thats his business. but he is just a pseduo- regency fop more suited to treading the boards in "no sex please were british" or some wildean tosh.

I cant think of any film he was in that was not a romance/love story. To me, this shows him to be a very limited, one dimensional actor. Plus, there is just something about his face that gets on my nerves.

I like Hugh Grant, with floppy hair, puppy dog eyes and that big cheesy grin. I can look past that prostitute episode now.
