Here are some really good rock songs - Murderdolls , slipknot , System of a down , Dimu borgier , Nymphanomy , those are the hard rock songs , and if you want soft rock there is linkin park , simple plan , greenday Evanecence , seether American Hi-Fi etc :-))

Theres a whole variety of rock, it depends on what you're into. For current artists...Keane, All American Rejects, The Fray, Anberlin, Pan!c at the Disco...those are some mainstreams you can try (Keane, not so much, just a person recommendation..the Fray as well)
