At the top of each passing hour (9:00, 10:00...etc), most all radio stations--by FCC Regulation--must broadcast their station ID, stating their call letters and broadcasting location(s). Like their music formats and overall sound, each station top-hour ID is different.

Tune in and give the station(s) a listen to and you'll hear some really cool examples.
