My Dr. suggested I get one to help with my babys congestion. Is one better than the other? Safer? More usable?

I had both and I took the cool one back because the cool water in the air gave me the chills. The warm mist is better for winter so I assume that the cool one is better for summer.

if for congestion use the warm mist...its the same as taking a hot shower..heat breaks up and helps releave nasal pasages as well as chest congestion....but if baby is hot the the cool mist is good to cool down....

I have a great small one that has the bowl-type thing to fill with water, and you put either the red top on (warm) or the blue one (cold) and plug it in. I think the brand is therma-something and it's a little one. Actually, I just checked and it's a sunbeam brand one but i checked on their site and couldn't find the one I have, but here's a link to their humidifiers and vaporizers and the one i have is like a combined version of the red-top and blue-top ones and if you could find that one, it's great! http://www.sunbeam.com/products.aspx?PCId=36
