Just taking a poll. If you have or are intending to study communications, which area would get a you a job the fastest, JOURNALISM, PUBLIC RELATIONS, COMMUNICATION POLICY, COMMUNICATION MANAGEMENT or MEDIA ART (assuming this is all you had). I am aware of the ruthless competitiveness of the industry, and that most people never work with MTV or CNN. I have varied interests, just as long as I'm writing it's okay. ; |

Journalism would probably get you a job the fastest. Whether that's going to pay well or whatever other variables you may have, I couldn't say. But there are likely to be more jobs just because there are so many more newspapers and news magazines (and electronic news, too, I suppose, under the heading of journalism) than there are TV stations or cable networks.
