Hmmm...I've met very intelligent people who wear cowboy hats. Maybe they like the style(or they're a cowboy or a horseback rider). Clothes do not make the IQ...IQ does not make the person "intelligent", either, though. I've worn a cowboy hat or two in my life(when riding horses)...I managed to get straight As in high school and a respectable college grade point average.
The Clash wore cowboy hats(sometimes)...are you saying they're dumb? Maybe YOU'RE dumb...gimme that cowboy hat...it looks quite chic when I put it on!

Cowboy Hats help protect people from the sun's radiation and are somtimes just hats people like to wear.

i wear cowboy hat during the summer to keep the rain off the sun off and if i need to make a fire a fan.i can water my horse with it swat a cow.tip it to a pretty lady,show respect with it show happiness sadness and anger.i would say people who wear cowboy hats are smart

Sorry,but you're not right! My father and a good many other very intelligent people wear them for shelter from the sun and rain. The fact that most women think they are sexy as all get out is just an extra benefit!

if that is your way to say your not brokeback.....that's not nice. just say you're gay if you're gay. no big deal. but on the other hand, only stupid people wear cowboy hats? wow......you need to do some homework. for instance, when i was beating down your mom's gloryhole like an iraqi soldier, i wore a cowboy hat. but then again, i was stupid. i didn't pull out, and made your dumbazz......who's ya daddy!!!!

Sombra means shadow or shade. The hats are called sombrero. That should make it clear. And by extension, all hats have come to be called sombrero in Mexico and S.A.
