It depends what phone you have, if you have not changed it your self or your Operator then you will find it in your manual some where, for my Motorola it was 1234, and an old Nokia it was 0000, so you could try those,

you should be able to see it in the settings/setup menu...
usually it is at the last portion...

something like, reset phone
default settings
or master reset

if its a nokia phone with symbian os 6 or higher, try this...

*#7370#

enter your unlock code (if you're not sure, try 12345)

be sure you backup those important files like contacts or msgs.
