Depends on the fish really. For a general community tank I'd recommend around 26C. However, some fish (Most labryinth fish, eg Siamese Fighters or Paradise fish) prefer hotter waters, especially when breeding (which also means they can be more aggressive), so some can prefer it at around 29 or 30C. However, your standard guppy, neon, molly, barb tanks are fine between 24C and 27C.

Tropical temperature decision is considered to be seventy 2-84º F/22-29º C less than this decision for room temperature (coldwater) aquariums. Time mild is left on ought to usually count number on the plants, if any, you're preserving with the fish. usually, no better than 8 hours.

your tank needs to be between 75 to 79 to maintain a safe tempreture in your aquarium but be careful to monitor your thermomiter as the temp of the weather can effect your tank can make it overheat in the summer and drop in the winter.
i would buy a decent book to wich will have lots of useful info to help maintain your aquarium to the right paramiters.
