Can I use color ink-jet carts in a Dell printer that aren't by Dell?

Is this a proprietry ink-jet cartrige. I have a Dell 810 color printer and see on Dells website that these are 22 dollars apiece! I'd like to use another manufacturer if possible.

You can use a cartridge by any manufacturer as long as it is the correct size. Go to your local office supply store and they will show you which ones will work in your printer.
