It is an element which is a non-metal having the formula Br2. It's speciality lies in the fact that it is the only non-metal which is in liquid-state at room-temp.

It is an element from the !7th group and it is in liquid form in the room temperature. It has the formula Br2 because it is bonded by covalent bonding as two bromins would share an electron to achieve octet state to be stable. It is also non- metal.
