1. Looks -- yeah, I'm shallow, but it's true!
2. Personality -- I could never go out with someone who was like talking to a log
3. Style -- fashion sense or whatever you want to call it is pretty important to me.
4. Openess -- do they talk about meaningul things, or is it conversations about the weather/old girlfriends/banality?
When I initally met my husband, he made a little faux pas. It actually was endearing. We were talking and he then went into a big list of questions. Then he stopped himself and said something like, "Oh my god, let's start over...I feel like I'm interviewing you." We both had a big laugh & then kept going...we went out the second time a couple of days later, so I forgave him!

Hate to say looks but it's what initially attracts us all
Someone I don't feel awkward with when it goes quiet
Has to be able to carry a conversation and not talk about work all the time.

For me it's a persons eyes, they show so much emotion.
The rest of the face can be ugly but eyes change everything.
Eyes can be really sexy , they say so much, that's what first attracted me to my partner even though the rest of him is pretty lovely anyway.
After that comes their charm.
For me their social situation has nothing to do with it.

For me, be it female or male, I look at their hair and cleanliness, nothing turns me off more than dirty hair. Second, I look for intelligent, laughing eyes. If they pass those first two tests, they are worth a third look into their intelligence and personality. I have many acqauintences that don't necessarily possess all these qualities but all my close friends do.

That depends on if I'm drinking or not and how long I've been drinking. Pretty smiles, eye contact, the personality and nicely shaped curves here and there. O(
