I didn't read your caps but intimacy is like laying your soul out for someone to stomp on...and they don't.

Yes to all of your own answers. Same age as you and it happened to me in the last 6 years. Once you have had it...hard to go back to less. I think our age has a LOT to do with it. You finally reach an age where you can truly connect with someone on many levels...its awesome! Dont know what to tell you about your marriage though. If you plan on staying in it..then best to end the affair as you are headed for huge heartache and disappointment in every arena. Also, if you think you might find that same intimacy with someone else...think again...the chemistry between you and your lover could be perfect for you and you might not find it again...sadly enough.

A "new love" always involves the brain producing a new rush
of chemicals....You have betrayed your marriage for a drug rush.
==========================
Recent studies in neuroscience have indicated that a consistent number of chemicals are present in the brain when people testify to feeling love. These chemicals include; Testosterone, Oestrogen, Dopamine, Norepinephrine, Serotonin, Oxytocin, and Vasopressin. More specifically, higher levels of Testosterone and Oestrogen are present during the lustful phase of a relationship. Dopamine, Norepinephrine, and Serotonin are more commonly found during the attraction phase of a relationship. Oxytocin, and Vasopressin seemed to be more closely linked to long term bonding and relationships characterized by strong attachments.

Maybe you finally found your soul mate. Intimacy can be exhilarating just because it's new too though so you need to examine the relationship carefully before you make any big changes in your life.

Its a warm way of feeling how someone feels for you. A beautiful way of expressing how you feel too. Dont loose that ever, its the one thing that cannot be beaten by something else.
