as im trying to 50 lengths of a 20m in hald and hour will i do less if i wear Pjs

The drag they cause will slow you down especially as you tire towards the end of the swim but if you can swim this distance easily you'll still manage it fairly comfortably i'd imagine.

Yes they will slow you down. They will cause drag and will become heavy as the water soaks into them. The PJ bottoms may even start to slide down so I would wear proper swimwear underneath them if I were you. Working hard with all that stuff on might make you get hot and tired really fast. I would practice, practice, practice.

yer PJs will slow you down but if its for a sponsered swim that will be good, try not to do it over a long distance cus you get tierd easy. maybe you should get a shark skin a full body one lol in a funny colours lol. its up to you but good luckhope you do well

get a suit

yep.

you don't need anything hanging or dangling from you. if you see serious swimmers you'll see they wear as little as possible and streamlined with their body.
