It's a good strong American name. The so called "unique" names are easier to forget, harder to spell and easier to make fun of. Why put your child through that kind of difficulty?

I had lots of friends as a child named Travis, it is not so popular anymore, but familiar enough that it will be easy to remember. I think it is a great name for a boy.

I love it. Travis was on my "possible" list for my kids, until I learned that my hubby's aunt had a full-term stillborn that they named Travis. I certainly couldn't use then. I named my boys Trace and Toby. If I have another boy, I'll probably name him Ty.

Cute. I like Trevor better, and maybe Trent, but Travis is good.
