I realize that all of the Chi Chi's Restaurants have been closed but I am trying to find a restaurant that is similar to it. I have tried Don Pablos and Mad Mex, as well as others, but none of them are even close to being the same as Chi Chi's. I guess we're wanting sort of a more Americanized Mexican Restaurant. Can anyone help us in our search?

Once all of the ChiChi's in Pittsburgh closed we were pretty much left with MadMex and Don Pablos. Neither place fill that craving for ChiChi's food. So I jsut started making the food at home. Now you can still get the salsa's in the grocery stores. Now I did figure out a few of the recipes and if you would like them just email me through yahoo answers and I will give them to you. I know live in the south and there are a lot of genuine mexican resturants here they are good, but not the same.

I go to this restaurant called Mexican Village II in St Cloud MInnesota. I swear to god it is Chi Chi's old menu, right down to the Cancun seafood enchiladas and the El grande burrito. I just love it. I go almost every time I get to St Cloud.

Any Mexican restaurant. I love ChiChi's. Maybe you can find a Mexican Post? Not sure what Chicago has to offer but look for Mexican restaurants that are not expensive along the line of Applebees or Ruby Tuesdays.

El Chico is also like Chi Chis. It's not really my type of Mexican, but it's very close. I think they are located mostly in Texas and Oklahoma though.

Can't think of any chains but the following URL will give you a listing of pretty much any decent mexican flavored restaurant in the larger centers. Have fun.

On the Border!

They have a huge variety of mexican foods, and you can even buy their brand or salsa/chips from a supermarket! They have a lot of authentic and tourist style foods, and the prices are pretty low. They have a great atmosphere, it really feels like you're in Mexico!
