It is okay. Don't lie for anyone, not even your mother. She isn't the one who would go to prison for fraud if they found out is she? You are smart not to lie to them.

As someone who worked 5 years in a criminal defense firm as an investigator and trial assistant, I can tell you that this is fraud. It is a felony to receive benefits if you do not qualify. Those were the hardest cases to get anyone out of because the government, whether it be county, state, or federal, knew when people were being fraudulent. They knew when people would receive benefits they should not have because they lied or weren't honest about their financial benefits....they would wait until a certain amount of benefits were received that would equal a felony charge.
Don't lie. It's not worth it.

I'm not sure what you mean by health care benefit.. you mean something like medicaid? It won't matter where you tell them you cash your check... they want proof of income, etc. If you can't prove you need medicaid, they won't approve the application. They don't just "take your word for it", so lieing would be useless anyway.

First of all, punctaute please! I had to read this five or six times before I could even understand half of it.
I think you are asking if it is ok to lie in order to get free healthcare. If that is the case then, no, it is not. I pay for my medical expenses and I pay my taxes in order to fund schemes like this to help the needy and not spongers who want something for nothing.

If you have to lie to receive the benefit, then you're obviously not eligible to receive it. Don't lie because in addition to our tax dollars that'll be wasted on you using it, we'll also have to foot the bill when you're caught and prosecuted.

Lieing might fire back on you. So instead of solving the problem it may end up being worse. If you are onest you will find a "last minute solution", or even they will be more understanding!
