Will it one day be possible? Im no expert on science so dont be judgemental. ANyway I head that if you can get an object to go faster than the speed of light you could time travel. Perhaps?
Now what about that grandfather theory, if thats what its called.( I think the theory is something like this..) If you went back in time and you grandfather got killed or you killed him would you be alive??

If time travel was possible would it even be known to the public or would they keep it a secret? I think they should keep it a secret because if we could all do it then everyones past/present/future would be altered so we would all be essentially living in different dimensions. ?

Billy Bob interesting point on the airplane clock and on long clock. Do you have a source i can check out? that sounds cool.

If time travel were possible it would be the worst thing ever. As you described paradoxical situations would arise, like what if you killed your father before you were born? I think the strongest solution to this would be parallel or branching dimensions. That is if you went back and killed him, time would form a parallel universe and a seperate branch of time where you never existed, however you would continue to exist within your current time line.

However, ponder this...perhaps time does not exsist and is only a measure created by man. What if everything we percieve only exists in a single frame...no future no past...it just is... This would also help with concepts of infinity and the idea of beginning and end...if there is no time there is no beginning and end.

Then again, it has been proven that the measure of time is relative to speed travelled. Scientists have synchronized clocks (one on the ground one in the plane) and flown the clock in airplanes for hundreds of hours. For the clock in motion time elapsed slower than the clock stationary on the ground.

Another interesting thought - it is accepted that all matter/energy naturally decays to a lesser state. If you imagine time as frames that matter must move through, I wonder if the mere existence, and the normal travel of matter through time accounts for some of this degredation. Does existing experience friction as matter moves through time? I need to go read some more books, but to me these concepts help explain inertia and so forth. If an object were in a perfect vacuum with no reactive elements, it would continue to degrade even at an atomic level as electrons, protons, and so forth all slowly evaporated. What is this force of degridation? I think it is the friction of travelling through normal time.

alli, like your coat seems to be a cool place! anywho to travel with the flow or against is the fundementalelements of life. alittle friction can and does go along, long long long long long long way.if you wish to go forward froma to b you will find out that the current comeing at you is very strong and turbulent rough n slow to go from a to z the current is very fast and quick may just draw you in however whichever way just enjoy the tripis the upmost priority.bonvoyagePET

yes indeed, Possibly time travel could exist in Dimensions sort of a prarell dimension more like when you want to time travel you would want to access some sort of another dimension. Like a Recovery of a system restore if you will but your files would exist on another Disk do you get what im saying. its like travel on anther chariot and seeing the cars pictures on a Big screen at the same time. More like a DVD player! i think im mad! but wtf man its my theory

Impossible according to me.

I don't think man will be able to travel at speed of light. He'll become just a wave. Won't he?
