Best place to start is with a community theatre group...or as a volunteer for a local variety show. Check Craig's list.com for auditions in your state.

If your town has a local university or college...perhaps you could talk to one of the smarter English professors? Pick his or her brain for suggestions.

You might be very talented, but the only way others will see and recommend you is by NETWORKING! The more "professional exposure" you get...the quicker people will recognize you---along with your talents!

Good Luck!

There's really nothing you can do at fourteen. Just do school plays and try to find an Acting Institute somewhere in your area. When you get into college, you will have more chances to express your talent. Find a friend who likes to act. Put on a show for your family and friends. Do all you can to be happy.

Practice...be in as many plays as you can. Be in your friend's videos. Make your own videos. Post them up on the internet.

If you are talking about starting now instead of when you are an adult and can move where the work is, try sending a video of yourself to someone who represents child actors. Be very careful about that one though. Ask your parents for assistance to make sure it isn't some child predator creep you send your personal info to.

Well you have answered yourself.! Being a good actor is being a good liar!!
Being a better actor is being someone else, taking on a different personality, changing your voice and appearance. What normal people call a Psycho!!
But that is what the people in the acting profession have to become.

Try an acting camp in the summer. Also, while in school get into the debate club. It's good practice for future acting.
