Immoral: You can take the pro-life stance by saying that many religions believe that it is immoral to take away a life of a embryo/fetus (many consider the fetus as being a child and others do not)...and perhaps talk about which religions.
And others are taking the other token and saying that as women we should have a choice because it is our bodies. An example can be a woman who has been a victim of rape. Should she have to bring a child in this world under those circumstances? And it is perfectly okay to pose that question in your essay to prove a point.

The reasons it should be banned - A fetus is alive, and human. It's certainly not dead, and not an alligator. Civilized societies should not kill living humans.
The reason it should not be banned? Well, i can envision a scenerio like this... if it's banned, there will be exceptions for rape and incest. The result of that exception: millions of men will be accused of rape just so the woman can have a legal abortion. We will therefore incarcerate so many men due to false rape accusations, that the human tragedy will not be reduced, only transferred.

it should be banned because with so many preventive methods available in the market all women can prevent unwanted pregnancies.
it should be allowed as just giving birth to a live fetus does not make it live a good life. the parent should be in a position to love and care for the baby till it can earn and look after itself. if a woman is not prepared to take on this responsibility then she had better abort.
a fine/ tax could be imposed on all abortions not validated by rape or health hazards to mother or foetus to act as a deterrent ot repeat abortions and make women more responsible about protecting themselves.
awareness of birth control methods, sex education and cleaner health habits could be practiced to reduce need of abortion.

It should be banned because if the government say it is illegal to kill someone off the street these mothers are doing the exacrt same thing on the other hand if the child is a rape baby it will always remind the mother of that incindent
