As a friend you need to tell her in some way that her breath stinks. You can start it by telling her that she has bad breath and you wanted to tell her because you also had bad breath at one time and no one told you and you wished they did. Even though that's not totally true it doesn't put her on the spot and it makes so that this is a problem a lot of people have had.
Or. You could tell her one day that someone had just told you that you had bad breath and how thankful you were that someone told you. Then she will probably say well do I have that problem? And you can say well yes but so do a lot of people and this is what you can do about it, you can do mints, there are all different flavors, gum, tooth paste, etc.

Think of it like this- Pretnd you r the one with the bad breath ok? How would you expect someone to tell you about it?? Wait until your alone and then just say- Jill (?) I have something I need to tell you and I don't want you to get mad at me but if I don't tell you then it could be the end of a friendship I'd hate to lose , then say "Have you been to the dentist lately?" And she will say Why ?And then u say- Well when we are talking I have noticed that you seem to have an un-natural smell that comes from your mouth- so I wondered if maybe you have a infection in your teeth or something? If she is smart- she will pick up on that if not at least you got the ball rolling! Good Luck!

In the long run you are probably hurting her more if you don't tell her. People will avoid her, laugh at her, talk behind her back and she really won't understand why. I would tell her, it could be a simple dental problem. Friends should be honest with each other.

Send her a bottle of mouthwash in the mail along with an anonymous letter. She'll get over it. You are not helping her by letting her go on being an "Oinker".

Offer some dentyne or something. If that does not work create a fictitious email address and write her a note but let her know its just a concerned friend and not meant to cause harm.

you can offer her a mint and just casually say that you use them cuz you feel like you have bad breath and you dont want to embarras yourself. then maybe she will ask, then you can nicely say, yeah a little.
