Is the general public so lazy as to not read anything to actually say, this is my opinion and actually have factual evidence to support it? So many times on these boards people bash each other rather than discussing it intellectually. Is the USA getting 'stupider?' lol

Which "people" are you talking about? Do you honestly think that nearly all "people" in the US do not think about both sides, can not support the conclusions they have arrived at with "factual evidence," and are getting "stupider" ? Do you use what you see being posted here on Y!A as your basis of how you think nearly all "people" in the US view issues and talk about them? How stupid would it be to use this site as a basis for generalization for how nearly all "people" think?
