hi there

According to the American Diabetes Association (ADA), good control means your blood sugar readings are as close to 90–180 mg/dl as you can get them. Your health care provider will help you set specific goals for your blood sugar for different times during the day. So, how do you work to get control and reach these goals?
Monitor your Meals, Moves (exercise), and Medicine
Monitoring your blood sugar is the best method of knowing how your diabetes is doing day to day. It allows you to see what's working and what's not. It gives you important feedback about how to adjust your Meals, Motion, and Medicine to best control your blood sugar.
Then, when you see your health care provider, you'll take an A1C test. This will show how your blood sugar has been doing over the past 3 months. The higher your number, the higher your average blood sugar has been. The A1C is a checkup on the 4 M's. And it makes sure your Monitoring, Meals, Motion and Medicine are all working for you as well as they should.
Why control matters
Keeping your blood sugar in good control prevents stress on your body's organs that can cause serious problems. If you drop a point on your A1C test, you may significantly reduce your risk of damage to your eyes, kidneys, nerves, and heart. You can work together with your health care provider to help set your A1C goal. It's a good idea to record your daily numbers and types of meals and motion in a notebook or journal. Then, you can bring the information to your next visit with your health care provider.

That is REALLY high. Are you taking insulin? If so, you need to take larger doses. You may want to get another doctor. How much insulin are you taking and what kind. I've found that 1 unit of Humalog for every 10 units I'm over my goal sugar works well for me. So, if my blood sugar is 180, to get it to 100 where it should be, I take 8 units of Humalog and it brings me to my target sugar. It's my understanding that this is pretty average, according to my Endocrinologist. Your average dosage, like mine should keep you between 90 and 140 all the time.

Walking is your friend! Walk everywhere. I don't walk enough, or exercise enough, however I try to do something every day. You also need to drink plenty of water. Don't go overboard, but drink water and decaffeinated tea. Stay away from highly processed foods and really stay away from large amounts of pasta. You might want to see an Endocrinologist, they specialize in the treatment of diabetes. You might want to check out Michio Kushi's Macrobiotic Diet. It has helped me alot. I've dropped my blood sugars to the point where they read as if I'm not even diabetic. This happened after I went on the Macrobiotic diet with my girlfriend who had breast cancer. Her cancer was healed, I lost 56 pounds and my blood sugars, as I said, are right in line with a non-diabetic.

The diet set forth by the ADA doesn't work, as I'm sure you are aware. Try cutting your meals in half and watch what you eat at night. Don't eat any bread for a while and find yourself some whole grains. Millet is a wonderful grain that helps to heal the pancreas. You can cook it with some soy sauce, leeks, carrots and other veggies that you like. There are suggestions in Michio's book. Good luck and I wish you lots of success in your search. I really hope you look this up and follow it. It does work well. Please take care of your self and feel better.

Eat atleast two kgs of well cooked karela, swallow a tablespoon of methi seeds with water daily in the night, eat atleast 200 gms of amla every month and liberally consume jamun fruit and in non-season, take a spoon of crushed and dried jamun seed powder daily with curd. Side by side, do ardha madhyendrasan. If you donot want to continue this regimen through out your life, do meditation for just half an hour in the morning and evening after getting self realization from an experienced spiritual teacher and get rid of diabetes and at the same time, also enjoy all types of food prohibited at present.

Check with Dr first, because your sugar level very high, do not ignore Dr advise first than think what you want to do it. My suggestion is Drink 4 glass of water first thing in the morning when wake up than clean you mouth(tooth brush) if water coming while you doing brush let it come if not it can pass by urine or toilets, after brush wait for 45mints do not put in your mouth any than have a break fast, after break fast and dinner do not drink any water wait for 45mints than drink more water per day drink 8 glass of water and also do not eat after 7.30pm this can cure anything.Good luck

There was a show aired on National Public Radio (they have a web site to listen) about someone claiming to be able to cure diabetes in the past couple of weeks. No harm - no foul -check it out.

Beware for sugar it is in nearly everything.

Different things work for different people, but you need to get it under control and keep it under control using diet, exercise, and medications if needed. exercise is extremely important as is eating a healthy diet that includes carbs. carbs are not bad for you. our ancestors ate carbs, and they were healthy. your body needs foods from all four food groups in prescribed quantities; you should eat a rainbow of high fiber, nutrient dense fruits, veggies, berries and whole wheat/whole grain high fiber cereals, breads, tortillas, crackers and popcorn and soy products, low/nonfat dairy products and lean meats and beans. fiber helps to keep your blood sugar even. you need to drink water and green tea. a good sweetener that is natural is Stevia, aka sweet leaf, found in health food stores. It is a natural sweetener that has natural fiber and enhances the flavor of food. if you want honey, use Royal Jelly which has nutrients in it. it still had natural sugars, but it is loaded with vitamins, etc. talk with a nutritionist, but you should be eating 3 moderate meals a day along with 3 light snacks a day.

GOOD LUCK AND I HOPE THIS HELPS!

you can do that and take chromium picolinate, cinnamon, pricky pear and some other things but you have to be on your treatment as well until your doctor tells you otherwise.
You will have to keep your blood sugar more closely monitered as well since the alternatives will effect your sugar levels

Your sugar level is too high and you might require Insulin injections immediately to bring it under control.when you are following doctors advice regularly than there are meagre chances of such levels.you can get it rechecked. Before prescribing any herbal medicine it is better to know complete history like since how long you are having the problem? any associated problems like thyroid etc etc.
