Yes; about 15 years ago, Misty, the female Siamese that I had at the time came to my bedroom door about 3 a.m. and started scratching madly, which she never did. When I got up to shoo her away, she immediately trotted to my son's room. When I didn't follow right away, she came back and nipped me (likewise a peculiar behavior), dashed around me, and yowled as though she were terribly frightened. I finally got the message, when into my son's room, and he was BURNING with fever. He was at 104.6F; we got him to the ER, and they determined he had pneumonia. They got his temp down, treated him with antibiotics, and kept him overnight, just to be sure he was stable. When we got home, Misty REFUSED to leave his bedroom until he was better; needless to say, I was happy to feed her in his room for the duration!

my dog saved me from being attacked by a huge dog who's owner throught it was funny. my dog jumped in front of me and latched onto the other dogs nose (the other dog had my dog on his chest) when the attackers owner came to pry them apart, my dog bit him too. (it was the other guys fault, he didn't have hold of his dog, he didnt even have a proper lead - well if you call a piece of rope with a knot at the end a lead?) - im glad my dog bit him too!

i dont know if you would consider this heroic but i found it to be rather cute. my son was goofing off on my bed and he started to slide off and my dog jumped up and put her paws on his pants like she was trying to catch him. i thought it was the coolest thing.

my cat has saved my life several times, when I went into a sugar coma from not eating for a day or so. he batted at my face until I woke up, and he has also bitten my fingertips, for the same reason.
