Personally, I would rather that no country had nukes. As an Israeli, a nuclear Iran is a very scary thought, however, I do not actually believe that Iran will bomb us.

Objectively speaking, your country has a very smart strategy. Iran has become extremely strong over the past few years, and will only become stronger either with Western support or without it, both aspects have their plusses for Iran as a important actor in the Middle East.

Iran is not as large of a threat as the USA has made it out to be, and I do not believe that Iran will use nuclear weapons as it would create a MAD (mutually assured destruction) situation. If Iran attacked another country there would be retribution from that country. As for her neighbors, it is a sign not to mess with Iran, and adds to Iranian standing as a superpower in the Middle East.

I also believe that the US approach toward Iran and Ahmadinejad is absolutely wrong. By attempting to push Iran into a corner and trying to tell them what they can and cannot do is only making the situation worse, and creating a potentially unstable situation.

When the US played these games with North Korea in the 80's, North Korea pretended to work with the US and quietly continued to build Nukes and other weapons. We know for a fact that bullying simply does not work. There are too many egos involved especially in such a potentially destructive situation.

If Iran is actually only creating nuclear energy, and does not intend to create weapons (which I do not believe), then it will be good for the people of Iran.

If it were true that the nuclear ambitions were only for peaceful power generation, it would be admirable of Iran to be planning ahead for its people.

However, considering Iran's stance on Israel and the US and their stated desire to kill everyone, it would be a mistake to believe that Iran's intent is totally peaceful. The rest of the world cannot make the mistake of allowing someone like your President and the ruling Islamic leader to have nuclear weapons when their public statements make it clear that they believe another country should be attacked.

I think Iran has every right to nuclear energy. As long as they have signed the NNPT no one has the right to tell them to stop the nuclear program...
As for nuclear weapons,as far as I am concerned no one should have them...But as long as in today's world having nukes means you won't risk being attacked by US,well...If US keeps threatening Iran with military actions,I wouldn't be surprised if Iran is going to take some defense measures ...and the nuclear bomb is going to be the best defense...In case Iran gets the nukes,I don't think they are going to use it...

If I am :
An Iranian, It's a national pride.
An Arab , I am yellow of jealousy.
An Israeli Jew, I will rejoice, using the threat to cash in American
gullible tax payers.
An American, I really don't give a hoop, I know for certainty Iran
will never aim US in a million year.

the mix of extremist fundamental Muslim regime in Iran, with clear aggressive attitudes towards their neighbors, and tactical capability in nuclear weapons is like playing with matches over a barrel of oil, it is bound to explode.
once that regime was replaced, by any means, and replaced by a moderate government, which is not the puppet of a bunch of fundamentalist ayatollahs, the desire to have nuclear weapons Will go away, and the sums invested in military capability and support of extremists Muslims all over the globe will be replaced by investment for the good of the Iranian people.
but if the regime is not changed soon, Iran is bound to be attacked, a preemptive strike, and that will incite the outbreak of war in the middle east.

A nuclear Iran is a good thing. It would bring stability to the region.
Last year Israel went into Lebanon and Gaza, bombing and killing innocent civilans, and using excessive force.
If Iran had nuclear weapons, Israel would think twice before invading its neighbours.

I do not believe Iran's nuclear interest lie in energy production, given their strategic access to oil. Based on this assumption, I am opposed to Iran gaining nuclear capabilities. Look what happened to Iraq when our government SUSPECTED Sadam had WMDs. Things do not bode well for your country if Iran should go nuclear before 2008...

Based on your presidents stated desire to destroy Israel I think a nuclear Iran would be really bad for the world.
The U.S. would have to act to protect Israel in the event of a nuclear strike.
I don't want to see nukes raining down on anyone not even Iran that hates America as it does.

hey if america can have nukes why not the rest of the world. israel has them and they are plop in the middle of the middle east. this is rediculous in my opinion. this is not a school play groud where it is alright for the big kid to bully the smaller kid and opress them so much where they are not allowed to defend themselves. i think it is only fair for all countries to have these nukes. i think if the west was so big and bad then they would have messed with china or russia. o wait i for got these countries would destroy the west.
