Why are people so mean?

I posted a question earlier which I obviously didnt know the answer to and all these people were like 'you dumbass' 'wtf?' and so on, im like yo, if i knew the answer i wouldnt have asked, if i felt like reading a 500 page history book i would , but i dont , so i came to yahoo answers. like 2 people gave me a decent answer the rest were jerks.. People think cause they the answer to your one question that they are so much smarrrrter than you. well in real life id kick their *** anyway so they can chill with that 'you didnt know' nonsense. If you dont know you better ask somebody.

Thanks WV Nomad , thats awesome. Its true. i thjink it makes people feel better to put others down. Some people dont come in here to give an answer or opinion they come here to try make you look stupid with their answer meanwhile they dont even have a real answer. Thanks

Well, I know what your saying...and people can be mean on here, as to why they are mean...I'm sure each one of them has their reasons. I'm up to a level 5 now which isn't nothing...other then it tells you I spent a lot of time on here...lol. I have seen a lot of answers and questions, and some of them are good and many are not worth asking. I heard people on here upset because someone reported them and yahoo removed it. There for a while people were just reporting people for no reason at all...other then just being jerks. I have seen too, that a lot of people will answer a question...just to get the 2 points, whether it's just to say "I don't know" to a smart comment...it doesn't matter to them as long as they get 2 points. Their's some people that will give a smart comment all the time, and why they do that...? Hmmm...I don't know other then they have a lot of stress in their life and they don't or can't handle people out there in the real world so the come on here, and they make smart comments knowing that they will never see the person who they got smart with. In a way...all these mean people are out there in the world that we meet on a regular basises, but just because they treat us nice on the outside...makes me wonder what their heart is really saying. There are a lot of serious people on here and it is a good place to find answers, but then too...there are those ones who come on here that are absolutely JERKS!!! I too have seen a lot of bad questions too, that people would deliberatly ask question that are totally meaningless, and I know this person did it just to be smart or funny. I know it is discouraging when your serious and give you dumb answers, but take what is good and throw the rest away.
