Ok I'm sick of people calling bands like Fall Out Boy and My chemical romance emo! Its like, haven't they ever heard of Pop-Rock? and I feel bad for the real emos. Because after MTV decided emo was the new fad, we had all these people trying to act the part and cutting themselves so they can look cool. Thats another reason you can tell a poser from an original emo: The posers all look the same because they're trying to be the steriotypical emo. The originals usually now go by the term scene because those posers disgraced the term emo. People Nowadays are idiots and are like sheep."

Atleast someone knows that emo kids arent goths! But scene kids and emo kids are different, atlesat where I live. Scene kids are usually like emo kids who are more into the fashion and popularity. I would say emo scene is the same thing as scene..

Emo- Over emotional brats Scene- kids with colorful hair. Hipsters- LOLOLOL. I can't take this seriously. Punk- emo/scene wannabe's Gothic- Emo taken to the next level.

i think Fall Out Boy and My Chemical Romance are great bands and I dont consider them beeing emo.
emo is fake and people try too much to act emo. i just dont get that.
when they call themselves "emo scene" or whatever...they're just saying they're acting emo to make the scene. to get attention. to be more popular and stand out.
it does work, but the non-emo people just see them as fakes [which they truely are] but still try not to give em much attention

first of all, if you know those bands so much, and you knew what emo was, you'd see that they ARE emo so don't try to kid yourself. a real emo does not call themselves emo. you pretty much just did. you are angry at emo posers, which only emos should be angry at those people. and you are denying the fact that your favorite bands are emo. but in teh heart of it all, you are ignorant to the fact that YOU ARE EMO.

emo... short for emotional. listen to the lyrics.... if the songs are full of feelings and sound emotional... they are emo
