Colic is gas in babies who are 3 month and younger. Because when babies are born their digestive system is not yet fully developed they tend to get gas from food and pain in their stomach. A colicky baby cries for hours and seems to pull his legs up to the stomach. A colicky baby also has a hard stomach and burps allot. Colic seems to hit at around 5-7pm and lasts for 2-3hours. Colic does not cause the baby to throw up or have diarrhea. It seems that there is something else wrong with the baby. If the cries are high pitched that means that she is in pain and something needs to be done to ease that pain. Diarrhea could be from the medicine that the baby is taking for ear infection or pneumonia. The parents need to make sure that she does not get dehydrated. Signs of dehydration are lack of saliva in the month, dry lips, sunken eyes, cry without tears, a sunken soft spot, lack of urine for more than 4 hours. If at least one of these signs is present the baby might be getting dehydrated. I would go to the doctor in the morning to ease the pain of the little one and to make sure that she is ok. What you described does not sound like colic. Sometimes grandmothers know best.

its more then just colic sounds to me... I would get the baby to the doc? How old is the child? Babies over 3 months dont have colic. Also colic is just a crying period every day at the same time every day that can last up to hours long. Goes away around 3 months. I would try some tylenol and see if she seems to be in a better mood, if so then you know its not colic and something else bothering her.

"Colic" is a fancy word that means that a baby is fussing, crying, and generally inconsolable. I would agree that colic is not how I would describe what you are talking about. I would say that the baby is downright sick and needs to see a doctor ASAP, especially because of the vomiting and diarrhea that has lasted three days. The baby could get severely dehydrated, fever or no. Please take the baby to the doctor! Sooner instead of later!

colic is thought to be an upset stomach. If the child does not have a fever. Does not seem to be rubbing his ears or a sore spot alot. If he is alert when awake. Sleeps well. Eats well. Is not constipated.. then he is crying for no reason.. that is colic... proabably stomach pain or gas

COLIC IS USUALLY GAS AND YOU KNOW THAT THEY HAVE IT IF THEY MAKE THEIR STOMACK REALLY HARD OR IF THEY SEEM TO STIFFEN THEIR LEGS OR PULL THEM UP TO THEIR STOMACH. THERE IS THIS (MIRACLE) MEDICINE THAT WORKS IN MINUTES THAT IS SOLD OVER THE COUNTER ITS CALLED MYLICON IT WORKS IN MINUTES. I GOT THAT FOR MY LITTLE SISTER AND IT SAVED ME FROM PULLING OUT MY HAIR PLENTY OF TIMES. AS FOR THE VOMITTING AND STUFF THE BABY SHOULD SEE A DOCTOR ASAP AND MAKE SURE THE BABY DOESNT GET A FEVER BC WHEN A FEVER IS PRESENT THAT MEANS AN INFECTION IS PRESENT. GOOD LUCK

"Colic" just means the baby cries a lot for no reason. It's code for "we don't know what's wrong." It is not a disease or illness with any specific symptoms.
Either way, you have a VERY sick baby on your hands. She needs to see a doctor ASAP.
