Emo is two things basically
1.emo- shortcut for "emotional", someone who is overcome by emotions and is upset.
2. Emo trend- A certain style or music, usually emotional songs, with their own little style of nerdy black glasses and lip rings.
Its a crossover in style of punk+guys embracing fenimine clothing

im an emo, we are categorized as "disturbed" emotionally imbalanced individuals. we fall towards black clothing, listen to rock, think about suicide a lot, cut our wrists, we ALL suffer from depression and have a very cynical and pessimistic opinons on life and everything in it. answer your question?
