I'm 15. And i know it sounds farfetched but I do wanna help the world. I know I can't help the whole world but I do wanna help. What can I do. I just see so many people suffering. Even if it is just someone begging on the train. It hurts me that people know what goes on and don't even care to help. If someone is selling AIDS bracelets($1 too) then there is know excuse for everyone not to exit the train(or wherever they are) without one, unless thay have no money, which is something I can relate to most times. I am surprised that people can read the NY times or watch the news and see these tragedies and just not do anything. If no one else will I want to. I will be getting a job soon. Also when the summer comes I can continue with my community service. Right now I am trying to get into this program(READ) to help younger children. But I wanna know what more I can do. I know I can heal the world but I wanna try. What can I do now? Or even in the long run,

You are beautiful...it is not farfetched to want to help. Community service is a start, along with helping your immediate family. As a suggestion from someone who survived Hurricane Katrina.......contact you American Red Cross. Thanks for being beautiful again!

I know how you feel. There is so very much I want to do to help others, but I can hardly support myself. The job market where I live is very competitive, and I only work part time. There are many times I saw people who needed help, but I had nothing to give and it broke my heart.

You could always take some time this summer and do some volunteer work with the homeless or in a soup kitchen. Many of the homeless people are disabled veterans, some are very old and do not have families. It would give you so much insight and help you gain wisdom, just from speaking with them. It will assist you in understanding how they ended up that way, what they felt they've done wrong to create this turn of events, or even if that is just the life they chose.

you seem pretty smart may be later youll understand that people should not bring kids into this world they cant afford, ive seen some of these specials that they do on aids in africa and theyll show women that contract aids and still choose to bring children into this world just to suffer and go hungry? ill donate generously when they start cutting these peoples tubes, not only in africa but all around the world, if you give to them now your only contributing to the problem
