I just wanted to know what this is. alot of people from my old school use it on msn. is it made up or something or is it real? they told me that $1 equals to pink and the dollar sign(money) represents a colour. ya'll know what it's meaning is?

Maybe they're referring to Monopoly money.

It looks like the "$" symbol is used in various programming languages to denote a variety of variables, I suppose those variables could indicate a color.
