Actually, it all depends on what career you would like to have in the future. All I can say is that both scientific fields are exciting to venture into, since both are dynamic fields in their own ways.

For now, try taking general biology and general chemistry courses to see your options; whichever one gives you that good feeling inside, set your mind to it...if you can do it for both, then it's much better!

As a high school course, doesn't really matter. At least basic chemistry is more or less required to gain a complete understanding of biology. Biology isn't required as much for the study of chemistry.

Unless you're a biochemist. Then it helps quite a bit.

Chemistry. Get a job for one of those companies developing new drugs. Big money! With biology, unless you add more courses and go into healthcare, about all you can do is teach it!

Chemistry, definitely. All of the sciences depend upon at least in part upon chemistry which is why it is required for all science degrees.

Biology is only recently coming up to standards as a "hard science".

Why not excel in both? They have interesting things to offer and go well with each other. But if you honestly favor one over the other, go with your gut, and be what you yourself picture yourelf doing.
