I totally use paper plates because I have 2 children, but if I didn't have kids I probably wouldn't. No it's not a waste of money.

I only use them when we have a barby with lots of people over. Saves so much time when cleaning up and then my good plates dont get broken. They are most definitely NOT a waste of money.

I use paper plates, plastic silverware and glasses everytime. The time it takes to wash dishes isn't worth 40cents.

I don't. It's a waste of money and trees. I'm not that damn lazy where I can't wash a few dishes.
