yes. a sport and an art. ballroom dancing, ice dancing, etc

That's a hard one. I believe if you compete dancing then yes, it is considered a sport! After all, ballet was proven to be more difficult and time consuming of any sports! Yet dance is also a fine art. So I think that it is both. :)

I think it's a matter of opinion. It doesn't really matter to me, all the matters to me is that its fun. I did ask my ballet teacher once what she thought. She said she thinks of it as an art unless its strictly for competition. Like if I were to jump rope outside my house, I wouldn't consider myself playing a sport. But if I were at a jump rope competition, then I would call it a sport. Some artists use paint, some use metal, some use a camera. Dancers use their body.

Basically anything with physical movement is a sport but it's also an art. It's not in the olympics though because it's too big, there are so many different styles. :)

You bet it is. The halftime dancers or cheeleaders on the basketball teams in the NBA get voted on and go to the Allstar games with the players.

yes i consdier it a sport. it is very hard to dance for 30 min. straight. most football players cant do that. so yes.
