I don't know the answer but here is a possible one. Your race represents you as a whole as you noted. And you are seeking someone outside of yourself; hence outside your race.

There's nothing wrong with that; and it's normal. Don't worry, be happy!

i'm constructive there are countless causes. Like undesirable memories, self hate, pastime contained in the 'unique', no longer excited with their 'type'. psychological psychological reason? there is no longer set rule that asserts, "I even must have an interest in my personal race", what occurred to race as a social construct?

I really don't think there is a condition or disorder that you are attracted to other races besides your own. I am black and always considered white guys more attractive that black men. Maybe because I identify more with them than black men. Both parents are black. Grew up in an environment that appreciated people for who they are not what color they were. Even though both parents and friends closest to me had the mentality of "dating within your race is easier and more acceptable." But think that makes me a radical individualist. I am not intentionally nonconforming or rebelious, because I am very sure of what I like and love and feel totally comfortable. I am constantly bewildered why people don't see things the way I see things. I think it's totally fine to love someone no matter what color they are. One thing I don't tolerate is seperation and prejudice. Because I am naturally openminded to other cultures and show great respect for their beliefs whether it's different from my own (but still I don't tolerate racism of any kind.)

Well according the psychoanalytic theory, you might have had a problem with phallic psychosexual stage. According to freud, that is the stage the child is attracted to the opposite sex parent and they successfully complete this stage when they repress these emotions. Perhaps you did not repress it properly or maybe something went wrong. But freudian psychology has some questionable theories. You could see a psychologist if you really want to know that bad. Cheers.

Asking why you are attracted to certain race of people is like asking why you like a color or think a certain food taste good. No one really knows why, they just focus on enjoying their preference. And that is my advice to you. I have no idea why you or anyone else isn't attracted to their own race, especially since I am a black man who absolutely loves black women. But don't worry too much about it. Just focus on trying to find what you want.

Some races just have more spice. I am a white girl and I adore black men. They are just so alive and some other things are just so good too.

i dont think its psychological. attraction is emotional and physical. you just prfer what you see in people of other races. you'd be suprised that one day you'll find someone of the same race and think they are the hottest/nicest person alive.

good question. Maybe it isn't that you aren't attraced to people of your own race, but more that you are attracted to those of other races more.

how would I know? Perhaps it is because you feel people of your own race won't or don't like you?
