I'm not sure if they are legal in America but they used to be very common in France[not as much anymore now] if you are thinking about putting them in your car. i would reconsider they don't help very much in mist or even in the dark, that's is why even France is getting rid of them.

Most headlights are suppose to have a slight yellow tint to them. The theory is that yellow will produce a crisper image than white.
Blue Xenon headlights are popular because, unlike yellow, they can emit light over as great an area as white lights, but still provide a crisp image.

I don't know of any jurisdiction in North America that allows yellow headlights. They are normally mandated in countries that have a lot of fog. When I lived in Germany, I remember residents of France had to have yellow headlights, but German cars couldn't.

Illegal. Dingy or off-white headlamps are one thing but colored lights is another. Fog lamps can be yellow, while blinkers and city lights can be amber, but the actual headlight has to be white.

any light color other white are illegal in ca. we all take risks putting blue, and yellow or any other lights on our vehicles. if you look at the packaging on the lights it will say for off road use only.
