In our country, we are all to be considered equal, so for the people to vote for a leader from among themselves is not irrational at all. Think about the recent line of presidents...George W. Bush, Bill Clinton, George H. W. Bush, Ronald Regan, Jimmy Carter...all people you could imagine living next door to and sharing a beer with.

The actor of course. A rocket scientist would probably be a terrible President. There are many kinds of intelligence. There have only been 2 US Presidents with technical backgrounds. Herbert Hoover & Jimmy Carter. I rest my case.
