You know i ask this question because i believe in doing to others as i'd have them to do unto me-the bible says that we should have love for one another, and the thing that really gets me is that often times it's supposed to be christains that's the cruelest. Apparently they read the word but fell to apply it. When you're trying to do the right thing wrong people makes it hard. maybe i just need to toughen my shell.Right?

Ignore them...they have nothing of value to add to my life.

No Christians are not "supposed" to be the cruelest. And some do not fail to apply the Bibles teachings. Different people have different interpretations of what the Bible says and it was written by man so it's flawed of course. In todays society it's difficult to live your life and follow the ten commandments to the letter or any other ruling like turn the other cheek. As much as I believe in the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit if someone slapped me they are getting slapped back. I did the turn the other cheek and got beat on mercilessly by my ex husband. I never fought back. Let someone try me like that now. They'd get more than the bargained for! You don't have to deal with mean people. Staying away from them is the best solution to that problem and don't try to change them. That builds more animosity in them. Leave them alone.

Toughen your shell?

Maybe.

The people in this new and different world have changed with the times.

Many of the traditional emotions are now lost...perhaps forever.

What replaced them are crude ways of expression...you see it on YA predominantly...just peruse the questions...and you'll see what I mean.

Our new technology based world gets us everything we need on the cheap...and cheapens us as humans.

Sorry, you won't find traditional standards anywhere else.

You'll wake up tomorrow and face the same old, tired looking world with many people acting and dressing goofy.

....and I keep asking myself, where do all the rich corporate executive types with the sorry looking suits they wear...where do they hang out? (I mean those with the megabucks who you never see or hear about...but could be deadly to our well being for their careless manner in which they downgrade working people and ruin our planet by polluting it with industry's waste!).

Enough said...that should answer your question!

In this world you need to be tough or you'll get walked all over. I hope for good in everyone, but hoping is not reality. People are out for themselves and dont care crap about others. They say they do, but they are liers and dont really know themselves then. I see the world and I see uglyness

I know its hard to do if you are not like this, but i was like you before. I was softspoken, nice, people liked me, but people knew they could walk all over me. Show someone you dont take **** from anyone right away, and the respect you will earn will wow even you.

Just be yourself. Let them know that you are or will pray for them. We can not change others, only God can. Invite them to church with you and/or you might ask them to pray with you on the spot or you could begin praying for them immediately. Prayer works and it does not have to long and drawn out.

That for sure relies upon on the position you stay. in case you stay in Iraq than that is definately a canines-devour-canines international, yet in case you stay in, say, chuffed city than the international ought to for sure sense like a peace-wth-your-friends style of international.

Only thing you can do is try to educate these people to show them the way we live our lives is OK, even though they don't agree with it

It really isn't worth letting a nasty person pull you down to their level. The best thing to do is to say to yourself that it isn't you, it's them, and move on.
