Glen Ivey Hot Springs in SoCal. An outside pool nicknamed "Club Mud"! The mineral dirt perhaps has healing properties at the bottom of a large pool. Reach down and pick up hand fulls of mud. It's the desert with dry hot air arond 85ºF and full sun.
Rub as much mud as you want all over (and under) your body. Then lay on a chaise lounge, richly encrusted and let it dry in the hot sun, a drying second skin leaching impurities from your body. Turn over, take a nap.
20 minutes later you're dry and mummified. Rub the crusties off to defoliate and shower off in the cool clear mineral water. Have a massage and glass of sparkling wine. It's like being in Valhalla.

I have had many a mud bath in my time. It's called trying to rope a calf, wrestling with a pig, or making mud pies with my 7 siblings and yelling, 'food fight!'

awww, these are the days that preserve my complexion to this day
