I love to read about the 18th century. I love to read. I like to escape to another place in another time.
Records were kept and I feel they were pretty accurate.
People were immigrating to America. The history during that time was well recorded.
Europe was making big changes and the ordinary citizen was gaining enough power to cause major changes.
To me it is a time and era when man made big strides in becoming more civilized.
History is what interest me most. The only thing I watch on TV is the history or the travel channel.
I'm the kind that welcomes change and I like read about progress.
I wouldn't mind going back in time.
All in all any period of time is of interest to me.
Good Question.

1950's. Rock and roll, and each generation had their own style of things. They were each their own innovator. In my opinion, for girls (or boys) the 1950's is the neatest. And people were having fun, yet being mature. It seemed like a wonderful time in history. And the fashion, music, and still tragic events were all very interesting to learn about. That's what I'm doing for one of my school lessons anyways. Good luck, and take care! :)

Every one i different, I study most eras that involve major wars. A buddy of mine prefers the times after wars during Reconstruction periods.
It even depends on the Culture or nation your interested in as well.
You need to ask your self what you like, what do you find fascinating, what are you interested in learning about.
but off the top of my list in no particular order:
Constantin's Rome
Julius Cesar's Rome
Napoleonic Wars
Crusades, the Knights Templar and the Knights Hospitilar
American Civil war
WW2
American revolution
War of 1812
Battle of the Hot Gates (Thermopylae)
Good luck

The one that interests you the most. You must make up your own mind - what one person finds interesting, you may find incredibly boring. Read a very general history book first, or look at a good historical atlas, and take it from there. All history is interesting to someone!

I prefer 19th C cultural history and French Revolutionary history. All depends on your tastes. I'm not much into military history, for example, but give me a good study of living conditions in Victorian Britain, and I'm a happy camper.

There's plenty of answers to this, from our perspectives. You might, though, trace back your own history. Where you came from. Your name will give some clues once the family line trail becomes too hard to follow. Asking relatives will take you a long way back though. Good luck.

that is personal opinion
I'm interested in every aspect I can learn about. It is funny because I did not used to be interested in history at all, but now I read everything I can about it.
Personally, i suppose my favorites include inventions and war, but it is all interesting to me.
