Not every black person identifies with Africa, first of all.Secondly if Blacks in America want their own holiday, don´t you think that they´ve been their long enough to take what they want. Or are they still to coward to make their Slave Master do what they want . I´m a so-called African American. Get out on the streets and make yourself be known. Anyone can be on the side-lines and coach. Get out on the field in the real game! Demonstrate / Strike. Get actively involved . You start with yourself by making a change, and stop waiting to catch the "crumbs falling from the white man´s table !!!!!!

No Mr. Mugs, I don't think so. It's not a matter of deserving it. It has nothing to do with it. Do they not celebrate the greatness of Dr. King? Do our black brothers and sisters of the christian faith not celebrate Christmas? There are many peoples in our fine nation that celebrate a myriad of holidays that revolve around their particular culture but they don't ask to be paid for them.
And, ummm excelsior July 4th and Thanksgiving are national holidays that remember and celebrate the birth of this great nation and have nothing to do with being Caucasian. And if you were more than 14 years old you would know that Christmas is celebrated all over the world by many colors of people....ttsstk

No. Kwanzaa should be dropped altogether. Enough of trying to yet again split American down along racial lines.
Like today with Tony Dungy, a great coach, has to be identified as a the first black coach to win the Super Bowl (yawn). But what about just saying that "Tony Dungy worked hard, is a great leader, brilliant coach and won the Super Bowl."
It was nice seeing him and his beautiful wife celebrating their victory. He does not need a banner saying I'm black and I did it. I am sure everyone is happy for him just as he is (whatever race)! Congratulations Tony Dungy (human being)!

Hi !!!

I think they should. But the way I see it if I,m not mistaken only Jewish and American holidays are observed.

Anyway if all the cultures living in USA will have their own paid holiday to celebrate, pretty soon no one will work, but will be getting paid!!!

I think Native Americans should have all their holidays way over paid!!!

GOD BLESS YOU AND HAPPY LIFE

You'd think so right. Caucasians have several of their own including July 4th, Thanksgiving, and of course Christmas. And what about our native brothers? They were here first and they don't even get an honorable mention in anything mainstream. That too is WRONG. If you think about it, how far along has the African man really come.
