Well, at least it is trying to get approval.

Meanwhile our great leaders refuse to outlaw contributions from pacs. Pass any meaningful campaign reform. Set term limits of 2 for every elected official or take away their right to vote themselves raises.

This is different from the US, how? An example:
Child abuse laws here came from parents shoving it down the throats of government on all levels, before it became a nationwide concern.
This is pretty much how big government works.
