That'a a huge mistake the government is making by not promoting new agricultural engineers.
Farm industry will always be necessary and produces first need products.
It is a mistake to consider agriculture as a primary activity.
If India ever gets technology on his farms it will multiplicate its grain production in just a few years.

This is the good question friend. I am a IT student. I do not understand that what is the reason for this. But people do not turn out for agricultural graduates. If they turn out for agriculture graduates then there will be a good scope for agriculture engineering. Naturally no one normally go that side because they will not get good pay for that . They do will not be recognised as a good engineer in the society . So only the demand of the people. Your question is good. I had learned leason from you. I do have a brother and i will make him to study the agrcultural engineering.
Thanks

Our market is driven by politicians. The farmers work hard and the rates will be decided by the government and the farmer doesn't get his rate. These politician give tax benfits and free zones for MNC.These blood agri gradutes don't go the rural village and they will not educte the farmers to get high yield. They want to saty in urban area/metros enjoying all the city cullture but some cases are expectional. On corporate basis they can start the agribusiness wtih loans and they can control the rates of the framers yield to get better rates.Every agri graduate thinks of getting into govt job.

Scope of work for agriculture graduate is very limited in India. When it will expand then skilled person would be required more.

Basically institutional degree does not that much required in the field. Their places are laboratory, research center, University etc and more research work will create more opportunity.
