I bought my husband these really nice brown pinstripe pants, and I want to know if it's okay for him to wear them with a pink and brown argyle sweater/vest....

They clash all right but maybe clash is in this year. Depends on his age I guess. I do not trust my next question so I stop here.
Hang on to them maybe they will be in style soon.

id say to a certain extent they would clash. You have to ask yourself does it look like it clashes too much?
