A backup routine is the most assured way to restore and protect any data that is on a Computer.
Install the OS, make a backup of the Registry and all System Files.
Now go online and have fun.
Download anything? scan the computer for viruses, it all works? make a backup.
Any computer that goes online will get a virus, the only way to ensure that your data is safe is to have a backup routine.
2 sets of backup CD-RWs , first set is to restore the system from install, the 2nd set is to recover from any virus, crash, flood, fire or whatever.
There is no software that is best, some is good, some is better, but a Backup Set is always reliable.
And that System Restore , well it is only good if you can get to it and it is unaffected.
Start making backups , make it a routine and a fix or repair is 3 CDs away.
