Ok, I have updated my Computer with new motherboard and new cpu, so i had to replace the old p4 powersupply with new one support LGA technology.

They put it as standard choice and they told me it's very good that provide 400 watt, (bla bla bla, i didn't understand).

Every thing is ok and fine, one of my friends came and checked the system and found that the powersupply is not providing the actual voltes..

it's giving 4.4 for what it should be +5
and 2.9 for what should be +3.3

everything else is ok...

Do i have to ask for replacing the powersupply..
and what that affect on the system..

i need help.

Ask for a replacement. A power supply that can't handle the demands of your computer will lower the voltage as is in your case. Go for 500 watts

Don't be afraid to spend over $100 on a good quality power supply. I just ordered this power supply:
http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/searchtools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=2503503&CMP=EMC-TIGEREMAIL&SRCCODE=WEBLET03SHIP

And I'm expecting it to run my SATA Raid-5 array (six Barracudas) in excess of a Terabyte on a LGA775 system with 2 Gigs of DDR800 with more than plenty left over for whatever PCI-e video card I could possibly want.
